We are Linéa, a tiny web design and development studio.

A project for Sampson Boat Co. We reached out to Leo in 2022 to ask if he wanted a re-design of his site. Happily he took us up on our offer and we worked on and off throughout most of 2023 to get the site transferred from WordPress into Kirby.

We choose Kirby as the CMS as it’s lightweight and has no database. Kirby for us offers us the experience of building a content led, handcrafted site with a minimal and lightweight footprint.

We included design elements from the Leo's boat Tally-Ho within the site design. There are subtle cues featuring naval blueprints, and graphic elements sourced from Leo's chisel work on the hull planking.

A project for Luncheon Magazine, we worked with them to design and build a Shopify theme within a really tight timescale.

The brief was to design something simple and usable to showcase the bi-yearly magazine. The theme was designed and built using our own starter kit as reference.

We introduced elements from the typographic vernacular of the magazine and extended this to the digital space with a clean and concise user experience.

Regarded as one of London's best independent books shops and another client we have been working with for a long time.

A Shopify store featuring a recently updated theme. More of a re-align than a re-design, we modernised the store design that we built way back in 2014.

The design features hand drawn iconography from Kyle Steed and type set in Univers Next Typewriter - as a nod to the printed page.
